ZS-KHW PA28-181 Piper Archer.
This four seater aircraft has wonderful touring capability and its docile handling characteristics make it one of the best loved of all General Aviation aircraft. It is simple to handle and stable. It has a cruise speed of 115 knots, just over 200 kilometres per hour. It is the ideal aircraft for cross country flying.

The Cherokee Archer with a longer wingspan and larger elevator than earlier Cherokee models has more gentle stall characteristics and is a better load carrier.

EQUIPMENT
Full dual controls. Fully Night Rating and IF equipped. 2 place intercom, 2 Transceivers, 2 VORs, ILS, NDB, DME and C Mode Transponder.Autopilot.

THE POWER PLANT
The Archer is powered by a 180 horse power Lycoming 0-360 engine. This is one of the most reliable aero-engines ever built, having served the aviation industry for over half a century. It is horizontally opposed air cooled with an up-draught carburettor. This massive engine is capable of developing plenty of power even at the high altitudes we operate in here in Johannesburg.

ZS-MUD PA28-R201 Piper Arrow
This is the flag ship of the academy. It is a complex single has a retractable undercarriage and VP propeller. Fall in love with this aircraft. It is a requirement for final preparation for the Commercial Pilots Licence, and it is fast and log legged. It cruises at 135 knots, about 240 kilometres per hour. It has long range fuel tanks providing just over seven and a half hours flying time. This more advanced aircraft has a virtually identical cockpit layout to the Archer makes for easy and smooth upgrade from the Archer.

THE POWER PLANT
The Arrow is powered by a Lycoming I0-360 engine. This 200 horse power horizontally opposed air cooled engine which is fuel injected.

ZS-KHZ PA38-112 Piper Tomahawk
Our Piper Tomahawk is a two seater trainer, cost effective for beginners and for hour building towards the Commercial Iicence. Wonderful view from the fishbowl cockpit . Spacious seating for instructor and student, or pilot and passenger. It is light and very responsive to control input. The aircraft is very fuel efficient resulting in its excellent price.

THE POWER PLANT
The Tomahawk is powered by a Lycoming 0-235 engine which develops 112 horse power. This engine was first certified on the 26 th August 1940 and is still in use in many light aircraft today.
